I started working for Moray Anchor Projects in 1998. Originally starting as a part-time support worker at Horizons (or ‘Reach’ as it was called then), I became the service Co-ordinator in 2000. During this period I also spent spells working part time as a support worker at the Stay at Home Service, Workshop, and Employment Support Service – other services operated by the company at the time.

At the end of 2004, I became Co-ordinator of Step Forward Project – a move that I felt would be beneficial for me to develop wider skills. I enjoy both the challenge and reward of helping people to move on in their lives.

Ian GreigHello my name is Ian, I live in Elgin and am 60 years young! I am a joiner by trade but spent most of my working life with Hydro Electric.

I began working at Step Forward in October 2005 and really enjoying my time here.  My hobbies are gardening, restoring vintage vehicles and music.

I enjoy the contact with our clients and hope to be able to improve their quality of life.

Duncan

Hi, my name is Duncan and I’ve been a Technical Instructor at Step Forward since October 2006.

I was born in 1968 (so you can work my age out for yourself). I am a furniture maker to trade, but also have experience in a wider range of woodwork including shed making and even skate board ramps. My hobbies include surfing, snowboarding, darts, and spending time with my kids.

I joined Step Forward because I wanted the opportunity to share my skills and support people. I gain a great satisfaction in seeing people learning and building self-confidence from the project.
