Horizons is a Drop-in Centre for people aged 16 or over who are experiencing or recovering from mental health problems or distress.We are a non-medical, community based drop-in centre, part funded by Moray Council, but run by Moray Anchor Projects.
Our main purpose is to offer social contact and support for people who may be experiencing the isolation and low self-esteem that people with mental health problems often do. We aim to provide a friendly and supportive place where you cam come to relax and meet with others, taking part, if you wish, in some of the activities on offer.
You will find our staff very supportive and approachable and, although we cannot offer a counselling service, we are always there for you to talk to. If we ourselves cannot help with any issues, we will try to help you make contact with someone who can
Activities
We have a number of activities on offer most days, including;
We aim to:
• Provide social and recreational opportunities within Horizons and the wider community
• Enable individuals to build up self-confidence and develop interpersonal skills
• Provide a service that is responsive to changing needs
• Provide information on mental health matters and services
