Current Services
Moray Anchor Projects currently operates three services providing support to those suffering from or recovering from mental illness:-
Horizons
Horizons is a drop-in centre for adults experiencing or recovering from mental health problems or distress. It aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment in which people can relax, meet with others and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, both at Horizons and in the local community. Members are actively involved and there is a users’ steering group.
Step Forward
Step Forward is an employment training project for people who are experiencing or recovering from mental health problems. Its aims are to equip clients with the relevant work skills and confidence to move into employment, education or volunteering. Step Forward provides training, work experience and support in a work-based environment. Clients make a variety or wooden products including custom made furniture, garden furniture and play equipment. Other training opportunities include basic computer training, customer care and store management.
